CARDIOCARE Study Reaches a Milestone with Recruitment of 340 Multimorbid Elderly Breast Cancer Patients

Sep 10, 2024

We are pleased to announce a significant achievement in the CARDIOCARE clinical study, which focuses on multimorbid elderly breast cancer patients. Our research is dedicated to assessing the impact of behavioral and psychological interventions on improving patients’ quality of life, as well as their physical and mental wellbeing. Additionally, the study closely monitors the cardiotoxic effects of breast cancer treatments, a critical aspect of patient care.

The recruitment phase, happening across 5 countries in Italy 🇮🇹, Cyprus 🇨🇾, Sweden 🇸🇪, Greece 🇬🇷, and Slovenia 🇸🇮, in 6 clinical centres, has successfully enrolled 340 patients. This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our team and the collaboration across countries, moving us closer to our goal of enhancing the healthcare journey for breast cancer patients.

As we continue to make strides in this important study, we remain committed to providing personalized support for these vulnerable patients.

Stay tuned for more updates as the CARDIOCARE project progresses!
