An Interdisciplinary Approach for the Management of the Elderly Multimorbid Patient with Breast Cancer Therapy Induced Cardiac Toxicity

New Review Paper on Deep Learning for Quality of Life Assessment Using Wearable Data

Jan 24, 2025

We are pleased to announce the publication of our recent review paper, ” A Review on Deep Learning for Quality of Life Assessment Through the Use of Wearable Data” in the IEEE Open Journal of Engineering in Medicine and Biology.

This review explores the growing impact of deep learning in assessing the quality of life (QoL) of patients, specifically through data collected from wearable devices. With the widespread use of smartwatches, fitness trackers, and other health-monitoring wearables, deep learning algorithms are providing healthcare professionals with real-time insights into patients’ health, enabling more informed decisions about their care.

This publication is part of our ongoing commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research and improving care for elderly multimorbid patients, especially those undergoing cancer treatment. As part of the CARDIOCARE project, we continue to explore how cutting-edge technology can reshape the way we monitor and manage health, particularly in complex patient populations.

Read the full paper and discover how deep learning and wearable data are paving the way for more personalized and precise healthcare!
