Prof. Dimitrios Fotiadis, UOI & coordinator of the CARDIOCARE project, recently participated in the 22nd International Symposium on Medical Devices and Biosensors (MDBS 2024), held in hybrid mode in China from November 20 to 22, 2024, in conjunction with the 15th International Symposium on Biomedical and Health Engineering (BHE’2024).
Prof. Fotiadis delivered an invited talk titled: “Advanced AI-based Risk Stratification Models Pioneering Integrative Management of Cardiotoxicity in Elderly Breast Cancer Patients.”
His presentation explored groundbreaking AI-driven methodologies for assessing and managing cardiotoxic risks, with a focus on integrative, patient-centered approaches for elderly individuals undergoing cancer treatment. This research underscores the vital role of advanced technologies in bridging the gap between oncology and cardiology to enhance patient outcomes.
The symposium provided an invaluable platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, drawing leading researchers and practitioners from across the globe to share innovations in health engineering, particularly in biosensors, medical imaging, robotics, and AI-based healthcare solutions.
We extend our congratulations to Prof. Fotiadis for his exceptional contribution and representation in advancing the frontiers of biomedical research.
