CARDIOCARE Preliminary Results Presented at the European Institute of Oncology Workshop

Jul 6, 2026

The European Institute of Oncology (IEO), a partner of the CARDIOCARE project, recently hosted a multidisciplinary workshop in Milan dedicated to the evolving field of cardio-oncology. The event brought together healthcare professionals, medical, nursing and psychology students, as well as patients, creating a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange across disciplines.

A key highlight of the workshop was the presentation of the preliminary results of the CARDIOCARE project, showcasing the progress achieved in developing innovative approaches for the prevention, monitoring and personalized management of cardiovascular health in cancer patients.

The programme explored topics including cardiovascular risk prediction, cardiotoxicity monitoring, the integration of clinical, biological and psychological data, wearable technologies, patient-reported outcomes (PROs), and the role of the CARDIOCARE eHealth platform in supporting multidisciplinary clinical decision-making. Participants also attended live platform demonstrations, round-table discussions and interactive clinical case sessions.

We warmly thank our colleagues at the European Institute of Oncology for organising this successful event and everyone who participated. Together, we continue working towards more predictive, personalised and patient-centred cardio-oncology care across Europe.

The program of the workshop can be found here (in Italian).
