On 16 February 2026, the CARDIOCARE webinar entitled CARDIOCARE: digital and imaging strategies for cardiovascular and QoL monitoring in breast cancer patients” was successfully delivered, attracting 309 participants (of the 538 registered) from across Europe and beyond. The webinar was organised by the European Society of Cardiology through its Council of Cardio-Oncology, underscoring the increasing importance of integrated cardio-oncology approaches in contemporary cancer care.

The session featured a distinguished panel of experts:

  • Dr Anastasia Constantinidou (University of Cyprus Medical School, Nicosia – Cyprus)

  • Dr K. Mazzocco (University of Milan, Milan – Italy)

  • Dr M. Mirabel (Montsouris Mutualist Institute, Paris – France)

  • Prof. M. Tsiknakis (Hellenic Mediterranean University, Heraklion – Greece)

The webinar was hosted by Prof. D. Fotiadis (University of Ioannina, Ioannina – Greece)

The programme explored:

  • Cardiovascular risk profiles associated with contemporary breast cancer therapies and cardiotoxicity pathways

  • The role of advanced cardiovascular imaging in the early detection of therapy-related cardiac dysfunction

  • The integration of digital health technologies for longitudinal monitoring and personalised follow-up

  • Multidisciplinary strategies supporting the implementation of effective cardio-oncology care models

The strong participation and engagement reflect the growing clinical and research interest in digital and imaging strategies that enhance cardiovascular prevention and quality of life in breast cancer patients.

As the CARDIOCARE project approaches its completion in June 2026, this webinar represents an important milestone in disseminating project knowledge and strengthening collaboration within the cardio-oncology community.
