An Interdisciplinary Approach for the Management of the Elderly Multimorbid Patient with Breast Cancer Therapy Induced Cardiac Toxicity

CARDIOCARE participation in EuroEcho-Imaging 2024

Dec 20, 2024

We’re thrilled to share that Dr. Labros Lakkas, cardiologist from the University Hospital of Ioannina, represented the CARDIOCARE project with a remarkable poster presentation at EuroEcho-Imaging 2024, held in Berlin from December 11-13, 2024.

The presentation, titled “Association of Echocardiographic Radiomics-Based Features with Cardiotoxicity Effect in Breast Cancer Patients from the CARDIOCARE Project,” highlighted groundbreaking findings in the integration of echocardiographic imaging and radiomics to predict and manage cardiotoxicity in breast cancer patients.

This innovative research reflects the intersection of cutting-edge imaging technologies and personalized patient care, demonstrating how advanced radiomics can offer critical insights into cardiotoxicity risk – a key concern for cancer patients undergoing treatment.

We are immensely proud of Dr. Lakkas and the entire CARDIOCARE team for their dedication to improving patient outcomes through research and innovation.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to advance research in cardiac care for oncology patients!
