We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dimitris Fotiadis, coordinator of the CARDIOCARE project, was a featured speaker at the “Heart Failure and Cancer – Updates 2025″ Congress, which took place in Athens on 9–10 May 2025.
His talk, titled “Wearable Devices and AI in Heart-Failure and Cardio-Oncology,” explored how emerging technologies are reshaping the landscape of cardiovascular care—particularly in the context of elderly, multimorbid breast cancer patients facing therapy-induced cardiac toxicity.
Prof. Fotiadis highlighted how wearable technologies, combined with advanced AI-driven analytics, can significantly enhance real-time monitoring, risk prediction, and personalized care. These innovations are at the heart of the CARDIOCARE mission to provide holistic, interdisciplinary management for vulnerable patient populations.
The congress brought together leading experts in heart failure and cardiovascular innovation, providing a valuable platform to share CARDIOCARE’s research and strengthen collaborations across Europe’s clinical and research communities.
The congress was organized by the 2nd Department of Cardiology, “Attikon” Hospital .
