In August 2025, CARDIOCARE was honored to organize a Special Session (ESC TV Connect) at the ESC Congress 2025.

The session, entitled: “CARDIOCARE: An interdisciplinary and patient-oriented eHealth approach for assessing the efficacy of behavioral and psychological interventions on cardiotoxicity, intrinsic capacity and QoL”, highlighted the project’s mission to advance personalized, interdisciplinary care for elderly multimorbid patients undergoing breast cancer therapy with potential cardiotoxic effects.

The session was chaired by Prof. Dimitrios Fotiadis (University of Ioannina) and featured a guest lecture by Dr. Dorothea Tsekoura, Cardiologist at Aretaieio University Hospital, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Through this session, CARDIOCARE shared its innovative strategies and ongoing work, showcasing how eHealth tools and behavioral science can be combined to improve cardiac health, intrinsic capacity, and quality of life in vulnerable patient populations.

This event reflects CARDIOCARE’s commitment to disseminating knowledge and fostering collaboration within the European cardiology community, ensuring that patient-oriented solutions are at the forefront of clinical practice and research.
