Dec 17, 2025

We are proud to share that Prof. Dimitrios Fotiadis, coordinator of the CARDIOCARE project, was invited to present at the 19th International Symposium on Medical and Health Engineering.

His presentation, titled “Trustworthy prognostic modelling of cardiotoxicity and patient-reported Quality of Life in breast cancer treatment: The CARDIOCARE AI approach,” highlighted how explainable and trustworthy AI can support clinicians in predicting cardiotoxicity while placing patients’ quality of life at the centre of breast cancer care.

The talk showcased CARDIOCARE’s innovative methodology, combining advanced AI-driven prognostic models with patient-reported outcomes to enable safer, more personalised, and human-centred treatment decisions.

We thank the symposium organisers for the invitation and the engaging discussions, and we remain committed to advancing trustworthy AI for cardio-oncology care.

Stay tuned for more updates from the CARDIOCARE project!
