The Special Session “Artificial intelligence and Real World data for personalized support of patients with cardiovascular diseases” took place successfully on Friday, 30 September at the IEEE BHI-BSN conference.
The Special Session concerned artificial intelligence tools and methods developed with existing and/or new data generated by individuals, health professionals and other service providers (including but not limited to data collected through IoT enabled devices, wearables, mobile devices, data source networks or data lakes etc. collected outside the controlled environment of clinical trials).
Such real world data are being collected by citizens, healthcare professionals, public authorities and industry, and the developed tools and methods or their conceptual designs aim at personalised risk prediction, prevention and intervention approaches that meet the needs of individuals.
