The CARDIOCARE project launches with a kick-off meeting on 19 and 20 July 2021 with the participation of all the partners of the consortium. Due to the pandemic COVID-19 crisis, the meeting will be held virtually.

The Horizon 2020 research project runs for 4 years and brings together 12 partners from 7 European countries and is led by Prof. Dimitrios Fotiadis, University of Ioannina (Greece).

The CARDIOCARE project focuses on the elderly breast cancer population and through a holistic approach including eHealth applications, wearable sensors and biomarkers, seeks to enable patients to take part in their care process and enhance their physical and mental health, contributing to an individualised care plan and a psychological adaptation to their disease. CARDIOCARE will enable effective risk stratification mitigating cardiotoxicity and adverse events, minimising hospitalisation and thus enhancing patient’s Quality of Life.
